SP Verktyg AB in Halmstad has developed and patented a completely new product for cutting hydraulic hoses. The development of hydraulic components has resulted in increased demands on control over each stage of the hose manufacturing process. A major source of increased wear, reduced service life and consequent downtime is contamination that arises in conjunction with cutting. QHD has been developed in order to minimise such contamination. About the machine With QHD we can create the cleanest hoses on the market. In a test conducted by the SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden, the cleanliness of a QHD hose was shown to be three times greater than that of a washed hydraulic hose. A user-friendly control panel is used to set hose length and quantity. The entire process is fully automated – from hose reel to cut hose. The hose is pressurised throughout the cutting process, ensuring that dust, rubber and metal particles cannot enter the hose during cutting.
